Kalenichenko takes his fifth ITF doubles title

Member of LOVE 4 Tennis Academy Danylo Kalenichenko (21) added his fifth doubles title at 10K ITF tournament Kirschbaum International in Kaarst, Germany. He took the title together with German Denis Kapric.

Danylo Kalenichenko, coached by Jan Stancik, played at his first tournament of the new season. After successful singles qualifying, he made it into the main draw. There he eliminated his colleague from the academy Filip Horansky. However in second round he fell short to home player Altmaier, after losing ending of the third dramatic set 4-6.

Together with German Kapric, they won all their four doubles matches. Moreover, three of these four matches were decided in the super tie break. In the final, they beat Russian-Polish pair Bublik/Hurkacz 6-7(2), 6-4, 10-7. “I played really well, because I felt great on the court. Everything was going well, it was a good tournament for me. I am already on my way to the next one. On Sunday evening I will play qualies of my next tournament,” said Danylo Kalenichenko for www.love4tennis.sk. Uladzimir Ignatik will join him for the next tournament, another member of the academy.

For Danylo Kalenichenko, it is his fifth doubles title at 10k tournaments. He won three of them last year, two with Oliveira and one with Kekez. First one Kalenichenko won in 2013 in Austria together with Adrian Partl.
